Cafe Create - Holy Trinity Church

If you’re looking for a cheap place for a coffee and something to eat, you could do a lot worse than this cafe based in Holy Trinity Church off Boar Lane. It’s decorated brightly, with mismatched chairs, and always seems to have loads of old people in it, which is always a good sign. Old people know a good cafe.

If I recall correctly all coffees are under two quid, and there’s a nice selection of cakes for less than a pound. The rest of the menu is very cheap, soup of the day is about one fifty, and there’s standard cafe fare like baked potatoe’s, quiche, sandwiches and whatnot. Everything is home made, and you can really tell. The chips are particularly good, freshly fried and with the skins still on.

So if you’re sick of chain coffee places and a rushed greggs pasty as you traipse through town, this place is definitely worth a go.
